Daily Reform
A
slogan of the Reformation was Semper Reformandaalways
reforming. The Church and therefore Christians must always be
reforming. To do so, like the chief reformer, our consciences
must be captive to the Word of God. Daily Bible reading and meditation
in the scriptures is a primary way to keep your conscience in
the Word. Daily Reform was written with this idea in mind.
It springs from the writings of a variety of Reformers. I provide
supporting scriptures and pull the two together with my own thoughts.
Mark Ryman
Daily Reform
This
daily devotional is found on
Pastor Rymans blog. It begins with two scripture referencesone
verse from Galatians and supporting verses from elsewhere in
the Bible. Next is a paragraph or so from Martin Luther's
Commentary on the Epistle to the Galatians. Lastly, Pastor
Ryman pulls together the scriptures and Luther with thoughts
of his own.
Daily Reformation
This
daily devotional is also found on
Pastor Rymans blog. It follows the same structure as
above but uses writings of a variety of Reformers instead of
only Luther. This devotional uses Sunday Lectionary passages
and is arranged by Bible reference. |
Study
to show yourself approved to God, a worker who needs not be ashamed,
rightly handling the Word of Truth.
